Euro-Rijn is based in an industrial park in Moerdijk that has good transport links to various modes of transport, namely seagoing and inland waterway navigation, road haulage and rail transportation. What’s more, the mainports Rotterdam and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol are located just 30 minutes’ and 90 minutes’ drive away respectively.
Seagoing vessels arrive from the North Sea and take just four hours to travel down to the port of Moerdijk via the Nieuwe Waterweg, Oude Maas, Dordtsche Kil and Hollands Diep waterways, a route unhindered by locks or bridges. The port at Moerdijk has a maximum draught of nine metres. The port of Antwerp is no more than six to eight hours away by water, with inland navigation vessels being able to travel directly via the Hollands Diep waterway to the major rivers Meuse (Maas) and Waal and from there up the river Rhine too.
Moerdijk is not just ideally located for seagoing and inland waterway navigation – it has great road and rail connections too. The port is located by the A17 motorway, and close to the A15 and A16 motorways, ensuring that the hinterland regions in Belgium, France and Germany can be reached quickly.
A rail link in the industrial park ensures that destinations in southern Europe in particular can be reached quickly and efficiently.
In short: Euro-Rijn’s location in Moerdijk provides you with direct access to a range of modes of transport. We would be happy to advise you on which combination is right for your logistical process.
